"Can I bring up something that’s been on my heart? It may feel a little uncomfortable, but I think it’s important."

2. Create safety, not tension.

Say upfront:
*"I’m not here to blame—I’m here to connect, clarify, and move forward."
*Psychological safety is the secret weapon of high-performing teams.

3. Lead with curiosity, not control.

Instead of “Why did you do that?” ask:
*"Can you help me understand what led to that decision?"
*That small shift changes everything.

4. Hold the space.

Emotions may come up. That’s not a breakdown—it’s a breakthrough waiting to happen. When people feel seen, they show up differently.

5. Commit to the next right step.

Wrap with clarity:
"What’s one thing we can both do differently moving forward?"
